Isn't that the truth? I decided to start my own a 21 days of gratitude challenge. No pressure. This should be easy, right? Way easier than dieting. Did you know that there is a science behind the philosophy that it takes 21 days to rewire your brain and experience results? People who participated in Gratitude Challenge showed more gratitude-related brain activity in their brains that was reportedly ongoing and/or lasted for months.
It’s pretty simple: list three things each day that you are thankful for either on social media or in a private journal. It can be anything. A good memory, an experience, a person, favorite vacation etc.… I'll be holding myself accountable by posting 3 things that I am grateful for everyday on my personal FB page. And apparently the number 21 isn't just some random number. There’s a reason it’s a 21-day thing. Studies show that people are able to form a habit if they keep doing something for a certain amount of time. The end goal is of course, to rediscover happiness in your life, but also to develop a mode of thinking that continues beyond the initial 21 days.
